I think it’s nice to be able to poke around in someone’s life and see what they’re using!
This is not a recommendation list, it’s purely a list of the things I find value in and use all the time. Do not use this as a shopping list!
Ads for products are marked with * if you click on any of these and make a purchase, I may receive a kickback at no additional cost to you.
Canva – graphics
Creative Fabrica* (ad) – commercial assets & fonts
Descript* (ad) – everything audio & video editing
Ivory Mix* (ad) – for stunning photos and training on social media
Screen Studio – a tool for recording my screen for creating walkthrough videos, Mac only
SnagIt – another screen recorder (but you can record without using your mic, which is important!)
OpenAI ChatGPT – I previously had a paid account for this, as I used it a lot. But recently, I’ve not needed the paid version.
Make* (ad) – for visual automations.
Zapier – yes, I have both Make and Zapier, there are some things that are only available in one or the other!
Camo – to turn my iPhone into a webcam (without Continuity). It also works to use your iPhone as a webcam on Windows.
Fantastical – my go-to calendar app.
TidyCal – alternative to Calendly.
Zoom – obviously.
Slack – gotta love Slack for comms!
Spark Mail – personally, I’m still on the OG Spark, not the 2.0.
Tally – if you need a form, Tally’s got you! Conditional logic, and stunning forms, integrate them through Zapier & Make to get your data virtually anywhere!
ClickUp* (ad) – project management (I have the Business Plan + ClickUp AI).
Notion – archives & record keeping post project management.
Todoist* (ad) – task management (I have the Business Plan).
Whimsical – for process & workflow mapping. If I’m honest, most things start in my Whimsical before they go anywhere else!
Timery – works with Toggl on Apple devices to extend the functionality (and now we have macOS widgets too!).
Toggl Track– time tracking (I use the free version).
Carrd* (ad) – I use this for Systems & Glitter and a few other one-page websites.
Apple: Pages, Keynote, Numbers, and Notes.
CleanShotX – native screenshots on Mac, on steroids (with pretty backgrounds too)!
Grammarly – spelling & grammar checking.
Loom – I love me a good Loom to explain a point! I also upload all my meetings to Loom and then share the URL with the participants.
Raindrop – this is the best bookmark manager I’ve ever used, but it’s so much more than a bookmark manager! It also integrates really nicely with Wavebox #justsaying.
Tana – this is a new addition to my day! There are a lot of unique elements of Tana, but I use it as a daily log, scratchpad and archive of what happened and what I did during the day. It’s the only daily notes app that I’ve ever got on with!
TextExpander – at this point I have shorteners for everything, from dates to signatures! I know I don’t use it half as much as I should!
Wavebox* (ad) – super-browser (seriously, if nothing else stands out to you, GET THIS! It’ll change your life, really!)
